ASKO hires scrap and recycling sales manager

Dave Blount brings 29 years of experience to the position.

Asko blountASKO Inc.,  Homestead, Pennsylvania, has hired Dave Blount as a manager of sales and business development for its scrap and recycling department.


Blount comes to ASKO as he approaches 29 years in the scrap and recycling industry. He formerly spent six-plus years manufacturing scrap and recycling shear blades before being promoted to a sales role in 1994. Since then, Blount was responsible for expanding the end-user customer base as well as establishing multiple original equipment manufacturer (OEM) accounts.

Blount brings his product knowledge, field experience and diagnostic abilities to ASKO as he maintains his dedication to the scrap and recycling industry. ASKO says it is excited to have Blount join its existing team of experienced product specialists and customer service personnel to help set it apart as an industry leader in its ability to offer technical service and satisfy the end user’s shear blade requirements.

He will be responsible for growing ASKO’s market share for replacement blades used in alligator, stationary and mobile shear attachments in North America. He operates out of Bettendorf, Iowa.
