Longwood, Florida-based Waste Pro USA Inc. has announced that its Baton Rouge and New Orleans/Kenner, Louisiana, divisions are now providing service to the customers of Workbox LLC.
The acquired firm Workbox is based in Port Allen, Louisiana, and provides construction, industrial and residential materials hauling services, plus storage and sanitation service options, to customers throughout Louisiana.
As part of the agreement, Workbox founder and CEO Martin Padial and his staff will stay with the company, and Waste Pro says the acquired firm’s customers face no immediate changes to their service, including to their payment options.
“It’s groundbreaking for our two companies to come together and for us to be a part of the largest privately held solid waste company in the United States,” Padial says. “This is a win-win for us as a team and our customers.”
Waste Pro says Workbox was founded as a family business and focuses on “providing reliable waste management services with a personal touch.”
As part of Waste Pro, itself a family business, Workbox “is poised to expand its reach and enhance its offerings on an unprecedented scale,” Waste Pro says.
Waste Pro USA operates in 10 Southeastern states, offering waste collection, recycling, processing and disposal services to some 2 million residential and 100,000 commercial customers from more than 90 operating locations. The company expects its 2024 revenue to exceed $1.3 billion.
"Workbox, Martin and his family/team members have the same dedication to excellence and passion for serving their community as our Waste Pros," Waste Pro president and CEO Sean Jennings says. "Their commitment to service perfectly aligns with our values, and we are confident that together, we will achieve even greater success."
