Longwood, Florida-based Waste Pro teamed up with the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars to provide a free lunch and 200 branded face masks for Waste Pro employees in two Florida cities.
The Jaguars sponsored the May 4 Employee Appreciation Day for Waste Pro employees in Jacksonville and Palm Coast, Florida. According to Waste Pro, the NFL team has provided more than 40,000 face masks in the Jacksonville region since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lunch for the employees was provided by Balu’s Surf Shack, a local food truck that commonly serves at beach areas in northeast Florida.
Waste Pro says it has been a sponsor of the Jacksonville Jaguars since 2018. The company also says it serves more than 2 million residential and 40,000 commercial customers, and maintains approximately 300 municipal contracts and franchises.
