Waste Pro USA Inc., a Longwood, Florida-based hauling firm with operations throughout the southeastern United States, has named Chad Jones as its newest major accounts manager in Louisiana.
Jones is an all-star athlete who brings an impressive resume that includes a background in sports.
In 2007, while still in high school, Jones was selected by the Houston Astros in the MLB Draft’s 13th round but instead decided to attend Louisiana State University, where he was part of the national championship Tigers football team. At LSU, Jones was also a member of the LSU Tigers 2009 national championship baseball team.

At the end of his junior year, the New York Giants selected him in the third round (76th overall) of the 2010 NFL draft. That year, Jones was involved in a car crash where he sustained extensive injuries. In 2018, Jones left the sports world and headed back to Louisiana, helping his family establish a company focused on tourism.
Jones says Waste Pro checked all the boxes he was looking for, offering not just a job but a lifelong career opportunity. After meeting with Regional Vice President Jesse Murphy and others, he signed on as major accounts manager for Waste Pro’s Louisiana Region.
“Chad and Waste Pro are a winning combo,” says Jesse Murphy, Waste Pro regional vice president. “I am excited for the future Chad has with Waste Pro in Louisiana. His passion for people and service will continue to foster growth in the local market and beyond.”
Waste Pro operates from more than 90 locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and North and South Carolina.
