Vulcan Systems appoints new vice president of business development

Preston Whitney has more than 15 years of experience in the thermal processing industry.

Moberly, Missouri-based Vulcan Systems, a division of Worldwide Recycling Equipment Sales LLC, and an innovator and supplier of drying, calcining, and thermal desorption equipment, is has announced Preston Whitney has joined the company as the new vice president of business development.

Preston joins Vulcan Systems to support the company’s continued accelerated growth and expansion in our core markets and to identify, develop, and drive our expansion into new markets, says Vulcan Systems in a press release.

Preston brings more than 15 years of experience in the thermal processing industry, including six years at California-based Therma-Flite in various roles including the vice president of business development and vice president of marketing. Additionally, his work history includes the position of vice president of business development for JP Whitney & Associates LLC and owner of design services, a product development company.


Preston will utilize his expertise and proficiencies in sales and marketing strategies, business development, and product development, to drive revenue, profits, and client engagement in order to bring a more fluid implementation of Vulcan to businesses in the industry.

Vulcan Systems direct and indirect thermal process technology is used in a wide variety of industries and process applications including: frac sand drying, biomass drying and torrefaction, coal fines and coal ash drying, remediation of drill cuttings, municipal solid waste and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) waste processing, automotive shredder residue, biosolids drying, mining and chemical products, pharmaceuticals, and drying food and agricultural waste.
