The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO), which serves several communities near Columbus, Ohio, has announced it is accepting “sealed bids from qualified bidders” for a landfill expansion project.

According to the agency, the Phase H8 Cell Construction project at the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill “generally consists of constructing Phase H8, which includes an approximate 23-acre cell, a 3.5-acre separatory liner, and all appurtenances,” or additional aspects.

SWACO estimates the duration of the project to be 2.5 years, “per project milestones.”

What the agency calls a mandatory in-person pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Oct. 30. “Site visits are optional” and must be completed prior to Nov. 13, says SWACO.

Sealed bids are due and must be received by SWACO no later than 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time Nov. 20.
