Secure Energy Services names new board member

Wendy Hanrahan will join the Canadian company’s board of directors.

Secure Energy Services Inc., Calgary, Alberta, has appointed Wendy Hanrahan to the Board of Directors of the company, effective March 15.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Hanrahan to our Board, continuing Secure’s ongoing process of Board renewal,” Secure Energy Services Board of Directors Chairman Mick Dilger says.  “Wendy brings over 25 years of executive and board experience in the North American energy infrastructure sector. She brings expertise in strategy, information technology, finance, human resources and other corporate services and will be a key addition as Secure enters its next phase of growth and development as a leader in environmental and related energy infrastructure.”

Secure Energy Services is an environmental and energy infrastructure business with an infrastructure network spread throughout western Canada and North Dakota. Some of those resources include processing and storage facilities, crude oil and water pipelines, industrial landfills and waste transfer and metals recycling facilities. In addition, the company offers demolition and decommissioning services, as well as landfill design and construction services, including liner installation, cell construction and expansion.  Metal recycling services include the purchase and processing of ferrous and non-ferrous metals recovered from demolition sites and other locations.

Hanrahan served as executive vice president at TC Energy, Calgary, Alberta, from 2011 to 2021 and, prior to that, held a variety of key leadership roles in finance and accounting, corporate strategy and human resources. Hanrahan also served on the board of directors of Calgary-based Stuart Olson Inc. from 2009 to 2018.
