A West Coast Field Day Event held in October by St. Martin, Minnesota-based Rotochopper Inc. hosted more than 70 customers and prospects in the market for wood processing and recycling equipment. The event was held near Spokane, Washington.
Rotochopper says it displayed and demonstrated seven different pieces of its equipment, with personnel from Rotterchopper’s West Coast sales team playing key roles, and Sprague, Washington, customer Barr-Tech Compost hosting the demonstrations.
Equipment from Rotterchopper on display included: the B-66 model horizontal grinder; a 365R model tracked radial stacking conveyor; what Rotochopper calls its exclusive screen change system on the B-66 grinder; the 75DK slow-speed shredder; the Go-Bagger 250 product bagging system; the new MT175 trommel screen; plus grind and color demos of the MP-2 and B-66 horizontal grinders.
One demonstration featured the 365R tracked radial stacking conveyor behind a B-66L grinder as it fed colored mulch onto the conveyor and “demonstrated the ease of use and benefits of the radial features for an operation,” says Rotochopper.
Another demonstration focused on technology, with attendees able to watch as Rotochopper personnel logged into a machine currently running in the field and shared with the attendees data and analysis features available remotely through the RotoLink system.
Rotochopper personnel taking part in the event included: Tosh Brinkerhoff, Rotochopper president and CEO; Nick Korn, West Coast regional sales manager; Doug (Spike) Meyer, director of customer service; Matt Cox, Western regional sales manager at Colorbiotics; Andy Bulson, sales manager; and Chad Angeli, vice president of customer experience.
“As our only Field Day event held this year, we had more machines on display than previous events. The attendees seemed to appreciate the wide range of equipment showcased from the B-66 to the Go-Bagger and our new trommel and stacking conveyor," Bulson says. "A huge thank you to Barr-Tech and their employees for being such a wonderful host.”
