Reworld, a Morristown, New Jersey-based sustainable waste solutions company, has announced the acquisition of R.E.D. Technologies LLC, (REDTECH) a privately held profiled waste and field remediation company located in Portland, Connecticut. The company says this acquisition strengthens its operational and logistics capabilities across the northeastern United States.

“By combining REDTECH’s strategic location and proven expertise with existing Reworld service lines, we are strengthening our ability to offer scalable, innovative waste solutions across the northeastern United States,” says Paul Stauder, executive vice president of business development and mergers and acquisitions for Reworld. “Together, we are poised to deliver greater value to our customers and communities while advancing the transition to a more sustainable future.”

REDTECH operates a state-of-the-art profiled waste transfer station with on-site rail transloading capabilities serving both the public and private sectors. The company handles more than 300,000 tons of material annually, including contaminated soils, asbestos, polychlorinated biphenyl (PCBs) and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams. Reworld says this transaction provides the company with enhanced capabilities in hazardous and non-hazardous waste logistics, supported by REDTECH’s fleet of 36 railcars and more than 100 vehicles and pieces of equipment.

“Joining Reworld is an exciting step for our team and the communities we serve,” says Adam Westhaver, vice president of R.E.D. Technologies. “By combining our expertise and services with Reworld, we will enhance our ability to deliver innovative and sustainable waste management solutions.”

As part of the integration, Reworld says it will leverage REDTECH’s infrastructure to expand profiled waste services at its nearby thermomechanical treatment facilities and material processing facilities, which will bolster its ReDirect360 zero waste-to-landfill and ReMove waste logistics services.
