ReSource Waste Services LLC, an Albany, New York-based construction and demolition (C&D) recycler, and Avon, Massachusetts-based waste handling and recycling solutions provider Northeast Recycling LLC have combined.
Northeast Recycling was established in 2016 and provides waste handling services to customers in eastern Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire and northern Rhode Island. Some of the company’s services include dumpster rentals, compactor services, construction roll-off services, residential cleanups, construction site cleanups and hauling.
“Northeast Recycling is a very well-run company with a strong team led by founder Bill Twohig, and we look forward to working with Bill to expand Northeast’s services to its existing and new customers,” ReSource Waste Services President and Chief Operating Officer Jack Canty says.
Twohig will continue to serve as manager at Northeast Recycling.
“I’m excited about working together with ReSource Waste and all of its capabilities to accelerate the growth of our collection business,” Twohig says.
ReSource Waste Services says it is the largest processor of C&D debris in New England. The company has five facilities in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine and recently expanded its capabilities to include soils solidification and waste hauling and collection.
“Northeast’s services will meld well with our experience and facilities, and Northeast’s customers will have ready access to a larger suite of services, including LEED- [Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-) certified waste management at our Roxbury, Massachusetts, and Lewiston, Maine, facilities, and soils solidification at our Epping, New Hampshire, facility,” says Greg Leahey, ReSource Waste Services’ co-founder and chief strategy officer.
The transaction closed Jan. 16. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
