Republic Services Inc., a Phoenix-based national waste and recycling firm, has announced the opening of a new recycling, waste and organics hauling facility in Parker, Colorado. Leaders from Republic, Parker, Centennial and the state of Colorado celebrated the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The 22,000-square-foot facility will employ 150 people and be home to 100 collection trucks that will service southern Denver, southern Aurora, Centennial, Parker, Castle Rock and surrounding communities.
“Our new facility in Parker is another example of how Republic Services is investing in Colorado to better partner with our customers to create a more sustainable world,” says Ryan Lawler, Northwest Area president for Republic. “The Denver Metro isn’t just where we work—for many team members, this is home, and one of the many reasons why we are thrilled to continue to invest in our communities.”
Parker Mayor Jeff Toborg was joined by Colorado State Rep. Anthony Hartsook and Centennial Mayor Pro Tem Tammy Maurer, along with Republic Services leaders, to cut the ribbon and officially open the facility.
