Quasar energy group, Cleveland, is offering a new solids receiving hopper, designed for easier feedstock receiving, which ultimately contributes to optimal plant performance. The company says the new hopper offers the following features:
- new hopper design improves performance;
- increased hopper size;
- two augers to feed the pump, reducing the likelihood of clogs, while providing system redundancy;
- an enhanced dilution port improves mixing of solids and liquids, reducing material build-up and clogs; and
- easier assembly with fewer pieces: hopper is shipped with the live bottom already attached.
Additionally, quasar is offering a new cover system for the hopper that has been designed for easier installation. The cover system draws air from the cover area, reducing odors even with the doors open, quasar says. The cover’s new garage door style lid allows the operator to easily open and close the pit, according to the company.
