Owens Corning GeoLap adhesive tape designed for specific geomembranes

Taping solution designed specifically for RhinoMat and RhinoSkin applications.

Toledo, Ohio-based Owens Corning has introduced the new GeoLap adhesive tape, a taping solution designed specifically for its RhinoMat and RhinoSkin geomembrane applications. The company says by incorporating high-strength adhesive, extra width and thickness, GeoLap is designed for geomembrane patching, repair and protection.

“The development of Owens Corning GeoLap adhesive tape demonstrates the company’s continued commitment to our customers’ success through consistent offerings within our premium geosynthetics solutions portfolio,” says Andy Durham, senior geosynthetics engineer.

Stable from -70 degrees Fahrenheit to 200 F and VOC (volatile organic compound) free, GeoLap is described by the company as durable, polymeric-faced all-purpose tape utilizing a proprietary butyl adhesive backing. Standard 100-foot length rolls with a 4-inch width make GeoLap suitable for secondary repairs, seam protection, pipe boot and penetration sealing, batten reinforcement and other geomembrane adhesive needs. Owens Corning says the easy-to-peel paper release liner allows for faster installation with professional-looking results. GeoLap was designed for water retention and containment applications in conjunction with RhinoMat and RhinoSkin installations.
