NRC seeks speakers for October event

The Loveland, Colorado-based National Recycling Coalition (NRC) is seeking speakers for the 2025 National Recycling Congress, which will take place Oct. 1-3 on the Wichita State University campus in Wichita, Kansas.

The organization is seeking presentations on topics related to this year’s theme of “Strategies for Circularity.” Proposals involving individual speakers or as a panel with up to three speakers and one moderator are being welcomed. 

While the event offers virtual participation for attendees, all speakers are being asked to take part in person. Each congress session is scheduled for 1.5 hours and speaker proposals must be submitted by May 15.

“As a speaker, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with an engaged audience working toward solutions in circularity, recycling and waste prevention,” NRC says.

The organization says it is open to presentations relating to recycling, reuse and reduction, but that proposals that focus on circularity will be given preference.

Among sample topics listed by NRC are: reuse, organics collection and diversion, recycling program and outreach case studies, packaging extended producer responsibility (EPR), bottle bills or deposit-return systems, secondary commodity markets, apps and data and responding to negative publicity about recycling.

NRC says proposals can be submitted via an online form.
