Waste and recycling equipment provider Municipal Equipment Inc. (MEI), Louisville, Kentucky, has acquired Winamac, Indiana-based Link Environmental. The acquisition was confirmed Jan. 1 and expands MEI’s presence in Indiana.
“We are excited to welcome Link Environmental to the MEI family,” MEI President Mark Clindaniel says. “Their skilled staff will complement our team and position the company for future growth.”
MEI says this move strengthens both companies’ commitment to providing refuse equipment and customer support by combining Link Environmental’s experience with MEI’s multistate presence.
Established in 1987, Link Environmental provides equipment for the waste and recycling industry, including containers, cable hoists, balers and compactors. The company will remain at its Winamac location.
“We’ve known and worked with Mark over the years and have always admired MEI’s dedication to selling only the highest quality products in the industry,” says Don Link, general manager of Link Environmental. “Our goal is to compliment and support their professional mission to serve and strengthen the waste industry.”
MEI was established in 1971 and supplies refuse, recycling and street sweeping equipment to the waste and recycling industry. The company serves government and private sector customers throughout Kentucky, Tennessee and Southern Indiana.
