M&J Recycling appoints new CEO

Denmark-based M&J Recycling has appointed René Normann Christensen as new CEO and, with this appointment, the M&J board of directors says it is preparing for the company’s next phase of growth.

Christensen has a long history of leadership experience, most recently as CEO of Kohberg Bakery Group A/S and previously as CEO of Glunz & Jensen A/S and Plus Pack A/S.

“After a successful carve out from Metso in 2021, M&J Recycling has now reached a point on the growth journey where it is necessary to change focus and increase momentum,” Chairman Carsten Knudsen says. “There is a significant global potential for M&J’s industrial waste shredders, and I am confident that René Normann Christensen will, as the new CEO, strengthen the organization and take M&J Recycling to the next level.”

Revenue growth has been strong during M&J Recycling’s first two years as a stand-alone company while a new independent organization has been established simultaneously, the company says.

“Uffe Hansen has done a tremendous job as CEO during and after the carve-out process building a new resilient organization ready for further growth, and I would like to thank Uffe for all his efforts,” Knudsen says.

 Christensen will assume his position at M&J Recycling immediately.
