Meridian Waste named a Readers' Choice awardee

Meridian has been named Nassau County Record’s Best Trash Company five years in a row.

Meridian Waste Acquisitions LLC, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based nonhazardous, integrated solid waste services company, has announced its Nassau County, Florida, hauling operation has been awarded by the Nassau County Record as its Readers’ Choice for Best Trash Company.

Hundreds of ballots were submitted by Nassau County residents to choose the best trash company for residential and commercial collection and disposal services, as well as various other categories.

Additionally, Meridian Waste was recently awarded a multi-year garbage and recycling contract for Wildlight Residential Association. Wildlight is Nassau County’s largest master-planned development community, with 15,000 to 24,000 residential homes expected to be built and serviced by Meridian Waste over the term of the contract.

Meridian’s core waste business is centered on residential, commercial and industrial non-hazardous waste collection and disposal. The company services more than 306,781 residential, commercial, industrial and governmental customers. In addition to a fleet of commercial, residential and roll-off trucks, the company operates 14 hauling companies, five transfer stations/materials recycling facilities, two municipal solid waste landfills and four construction and demolition landfills.
