Meridian Waste acquires two North Carolina hauling companies

The acquisitions include roll-off trucks, containers and commercial contracts in Wake, Johnston and Durham counties in North Carolina.

Meridian Waste, a waste services company based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has acquired Dumpstars LLC and Discount Dumpsters, both of which are waste haulers based near Raleigh, North Carolina. The terms of the asset purchase agreements are undisclosed.

The acquired assets from Dumpstars and Discount Dumpsters include roll-off trucks, containers and commercial contracts in North Carolina’s Wake, Johnston and Durham counties. The acquisition of Dumpstars also includes portable restrooms, a new line of business for Meridian Waste in Raleigh.

“Enhancing our collection assets and density in the triangle marketplace is a priority for Meridian Waste as we have fully integrated collection and disposal facilities here in this incredibly fast-growing market,” says Walter Hall, CEO of Meridian Waste. “Tuck-in acquisitions such as Dumpstars and Discount Dumpsters are strategic growth opportunities for Meridian Waste that allows us to deploy our capital in ways that improve our financial margins and operational performance.”

These mark Meridian Waste’s third and fourth acquisitions in North Carolina.
