Maryland’s environmental business leaders will convene in Annapolis, July 19, for the inaugural Environmental Business Leadership Conference (EBLC).
This one-day program for public and private sector environmental services and products executives features nearly 40 speakers. Participating in the event are many of Gov. Larry Hogan’s administration departments and agencies, including the secretaries of the Maryland Departments of the Environment, General Services and the Maryland Energy Administration.
The conference is hosted by the Maryland Environmental Service (MES), Millersville, Maryland, a not-for-profit government agency, which says its mission is to provide operational and technical services that enhance the environment for the benefit of the citizens of Maryland.
“Maryland is Open for Business, and that includes businesses helping the environment. Our goal is to provide a forum for executives from these companies, along with public sector leaders, to hear from industry experts, share ideas and solutions, and network together,” says Roy McGrath, director and CEO of MES. “The incredible environmental progress in Maryland under—Gov. Hogan’s leadership—is happening in part through innovative solutions from the environmental businesses and leaders we are convening.”
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Westin Annapolis Hotel. It is open to anyone interested in the environment. More information and details for registration can be found here.
