Ivyland, Pennsylvania-based Leck Waste Services, a provider of solid and liquid waste hauling and recycling services for commercial, industrial and residential customers, says it has acquired John’s Sanitation Inc., a Fleetwood, Pennsylvania-based solid waste hauling company.
With the acquisition, Leck Waste Services says it will increase its solid waste collection division by adding 5,000 waste customers in Berks County, Pennsylvania. The acquisition allows Leck Waste to offer services in what it calls one of the fastest growing markets in Pennsylvania, based on its proximity to Reading, Allentown and Philadelphia.
“John’s Sanitation has a reputation for providing dependable quality services for over 25 years to its customers,” says Jason Leck president of Leck Waste. “We look forward to retaining their loyal employees and customers while we continue to expand into the Berks County market area that we started [serving] in 2021.”
Continues Leck, “We are also exited to offer John’s Sanitation customers our additional services such as [document] shredding, septic and liquid waste services, and we also believe the efficiencies we gain by integrating John’s Sanitations customers into our existing Leck routes allows Leck Waste Services to continue working on its strategic goal of being a vertically integrated waste and recycling company, to better serve our customers.”
Leck Waste Services describes itself as providing services in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and as an operator of 85 trucks daily in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. On the recycling front, Leck Waste says its “Zero to Landfill” initiative involves diverting some 28,000 tons of materials per year from landfills.
