Peoria, Illinois-based dealership MH Equipment says it has received two awards from Cleveland-based material handling equipment maker Hyster-Yale Group (HYG).

MH Equipment says it has been recognized with a 2021 Hyster Dealer of Distinction award and a 2021 Yale Dealer of Excellence award. “MH Equipment had a record-breaking year with eight recognitions being awarded across its regions,” states the company.

MH says its Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio South, Indianapolis and Great Plains regions were recognized as 2021 Hyster Dealers of Distinction, and the Ohio North region was awarded the 2021 Yale Dealer of Excellence award. Additionally, MH Equipment’s Iowa region was recognized with both awards.

“Hyster dealerships and their associates have a thorough understanding of the customer’s application and their business needs,” says Bob Sattler, Hyster’s vice president of dealer business development. “These dealers are dedicated to helping their customers increase productivity while managing costs in pursuit of excellence. We’re delighted to honor their outstanding achievement as Dealers of Distinction and extremely fortunate to have them represent the Hyster brand.”

MH Equipment says it is one of only two companies to have received both a Hyster Dealer of Distinction and a Yale Dealer of Excellence award for 2021. States the firm: “MH strives to achieve this recognition, and when we are blessed to achieve it, we are even more proud of our teams that make it happen. It feels good when hard work and investment is recognized by our partner, HYG. It confirms our mission to provide exceptional service to our customers with their material handling needs – and that people matter, passion inspires, and purpose unites.”

HYG and MH say dealers must meet “rigorous business practice standards and performance criteria that are modified regularly to ensure alignment with ever-evolving customer expectations and heightened industry demands” to earn one of the awards.

“We trust as a company we will always remain mindful of our humble beginnings, grateful for our success and hungry for our next horizon,” states MH Equipment CEO, John Wieland.

MH Equipment was founded in 1952 and now has multiple dealerships, 30 service locations and more than 900 employees located in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Nebraska, South Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
