Husqvarna debuts new Husqvarna Fleet Services system

Husqvarna Fleet Services is a system that collects and presents data regarding a contractor or rental company's machine fleet.

As a business grows, it can be hard to keep track of all the details. That's why Stockholm-based Husqvarna debuted its new Husqvarna Fleet Services system.

Husqvarna Fleet Services is a system that collects and presents data regarding a contractor or rental company's machine fleet, enabling operators to make better decisions and increase productivity.

Data is generated by digitally tracking each machine's performance, runtime and job location. All data is then displayed in the Husqvarna Fleet Services portal for further analysis.

Information is transmitted through a sensor, which is attached to the equipment. In most cases, Husqvarna's equipment has a location specifically made for the sensor. The senor is also designed to fit on non-Husqvarna equipment, ensuring operators get the most out of their fleet.

Once installed, a range of information is available, including:

  • Inventory control: Easily create and check inventory to know exactly what kind and how many machines are in a given place. Operators can even give specific machines names to easily tell one from another.
  • Service overview: Record service history for each piece of equipment, making it much easier to keep track of the health of a fleet and troubleshoot if necessary. Service reminders can also be sent and based on the actual engine hours, ensuring the machine is always in top shape.
  • Machine location: As soon as a machine with a sensor is within Bluetooth range from a smartphone running the Husqvarna Fleet Services app, its location is registered. All a user has to do is check the map to find out if a machine is in storage, away for service or out working.
  • Machine status: Sensors track engine hours of every machine to record how much they have been used. The workday log provides a detailed view of how many hours a machine has been used each day.
