Heritage Environmental Services (HES), an EQT Infrastructure portfolio company, announced that James “Shelby” Marlow has joined the organization as chief financial officer (CFO), effective Feb. 18.
Marlow joins HES from EIS (Audax), a leading North American distributor of process materials to maintenance, repair and operations and original equipment manufacturers’ customers across various end markets, including power generation, transmission and distribution, energy, e-mobility, and industrial electronics.
At EIS, he served as CFO, successfully establishing the company as an independent entity, setting up its finance and accounting functions, and leading six acquisitions. His efforts significantly grew business earnings and accelerated growth through a robust buy-and-build strategy. Before this, Marlow was the CFO at Reliable Parts, where he optimized financial operations, revolutionized supply chain efficiency and boosted profitability.
At Easy Gardener Products, he professionalized the finance and accounting functions and led the sale of the business to Centre Lane Partners. Earlier in his career, Marlow held key leadership roles at National Envelope, including CFO, where he managed complex financial restructurings. He began his career in public accounting and gained extensive experience in cost accounting at ConAgra Foods and Tyson Foods.
“We are delighted to welcome Shelby to our leadership team. Having followed his impressive career, I am confident that his expertise in financial strategy and management will be a tremendous asset to us,” says Heritage CEO HP Nanda. “I look forward to working closely with Shelby as we continue to drive growth and innovation together.”
As the CFO at HES, Marlow will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring robust financial health and strategic growth moving forward. He will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals. Additionally, Marlow will lead efforts to enhance financial performance, drive operational efficiencies and support key business initiatives to streamline processes and improve overall productivity. His leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the company continues to deliver exceptional value to its stakeholders.
