Heil, a Chattanooga, Tennessee-based maker of waste and recycling collection trucks and accessories, has added three new companies with a combined five locations to its nationwide dealer network, increasing the company’s presence in the Midwest.

The three new dealerships include: Environmental Equipment Sales & Service (EESS), which has locations in Columbus, Ohio, and Detroit; EJ Equipment, which has locations in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, and Shakopee, Minnesota; and Mid-Iowa Solid Waste Equipment of Johnston, Iowa.

EESS started in the New England region in 2016 and now has locations serving Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont. The Michigan and Ohio locations have joined the Heil Vocational Trucks & Equipment (VTE) dealership network.

The Columbus and Detroit EESS locations will provide Heil's full line of refuse trucks, service and parts, along with automated Curotto-Can containers and Heil 3rd Eye and Connected Collections technology.

“EESS and the VTE group embody the core values that have defined the nationwide Heil network for the past 100 years,” Heil Vice President Eric Monsen says. “Their steadfast commitment to excellence, deep industry and product expertise, and dedication to exceptional customer service make them the perfect representatives for our extensive customer base in Ohio and Michigan.”

EJ Equipment is a family-owned business founded in 1999 and has been a longtime dealer for Heil products in Illinois.

“With the addition of new locations in Wisconsin and Minnesota, EJ Equipment now extends its superior service and product offerings across the Midwest,” Heil says.

In addition to Heil trucks, EJ Equipment also will offer Curotto-Can containers and Heil 3rd Eye and Connected Collections technology.

“We’re honored by the trust placed in us by Heil, as well as by the municipal, public and private haulers of the Midwest,” EJ Equipment President Kerry LeSage says. “We look forward to continuing the legacy of local Heil representation in the region, staffed by the industry’s leading waste equipment experts, all dedicated to absolute excellence and world-class customer service.”

The addition of Mid-Iowa Solid Waste Equipment of Johnston, Iowa, will further enhance sales, service, parts and support for Heil clientele throughout Iowa and Nebraska, Heil says.

Mid-Iowa is part of the South Dakota-based MH Equipment dealership network and is undergoing a name change this month. Effective July 1, Mid-Iowa Waste Equipment will operate under the name Armor Equipment, another MH Equipment brand. The Armor Johnston location will offer Heil trucks, containers and technology made by Heil.

“We’re proud to have earned a reputation for excellence in the waste industry and we couldn’t be more excited to enhance our offerings through the addition of Heil to our product lineup in Iowa and Nebraska," Armor Equipment President Tripp Manheimer says. "Our long history with the Midwest solid waste community positions us well to meet and exceed the needs of our mutual customers throughout the region.”

Heil's North American dealer network is comprised of more than 40 full-service dealerships that combined operate more than 60 locations in the United States and Canada. Heil is a brand of the Environmental Solutions Group, also based in Chattanooga.
