The organizers of the 2016 Eco Expo Asia event in Hong Kong say it will feature the largest Waste Management & Recycling Zone in the show’s history. The 2016 edition of Eco Expo Asia will take place at the Hong Kong AsiaWorld Expo 26-29 October.
The dedicated zone “will expand to a record-breaking 500-plus square metres (more than 5,380 square feet),” according to Eco Expo Asia’s hosts. The exhibition is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Limited and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and is co-organised by the Environment Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The event’s goal is “to provide in-demand green solutions for international governments, industry players and individuals to help tackle growing environmental challenges.”
In the Waste Management & Recycling Zone, some of the confirmed exhibitors include: ALBA Integrated Waste Solutions, the Hong Kong-based subsidiary of Germany-based ALBA Group that is building an electronic scrap recycling facility in Hong Kong; Baguio, a Hong Kong-based firm that handles much of Hong Kong’s post-consumer recycling materials; Suez Environnement; the China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection (Hong Kong) Investment Company Limited; EEW Energy from Waste; waste and recycling collection systems provider Envac; and several others.
