The Chicago-based Construction & Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA) will recognize 15 companies with its safety awards, presented at the 2024 C&D World Convention, Jan. 31-Feb. 2, in Bonita Springs, Florida.
The association received a record number of member companies with qualifications to receive its Best Practices in Safety Award, which it says underscores the industry’s unwavering dedication to safety.
“Our industry necessitates nothing less than excellence in safety protocol, and these companies showed innovation and dedication toward ensuring the security of their employees and worksites,” says Jason Haus, CDRA president and CEO of Dem-Con Companies of Shakopee, Minnesota. “We’re proud to award these members for their exemplary practices.”
Cnstruction and demolition recycling and related operations have inherent risk factors, and the CDRA says the most successful operators have created specific action plans to minimize those risks and create a safety culture.
The association developed its Best Practices in Safety awards program to recognize companies that have achieved a high level of safety management and to identify a level of safety performance that will help C&D operators manage their business.
Two CDRA member-companies that achieved a level of safety management to receive silver awards at the upcoming convention are Construction and Demolition Recycling Inc., South Gate, California; and Rockwood Sustainable Solutions, Lebanon, Tennessee.
Also at the convention, 13 companies will be honored with gold awards:
