CBI is now offering the new CBI 5900T, which it calls a “next-generation horizontal grinder designed to set new standards in efficiency, power, and durability.”
The New Hampshire-based equipment producer calls the 5900T the first model in the 5900 series, and says the grinder has been designed to incorporate “proven” features from the CBI 6800 and 5800 grinders while introducing “upgrades for superior material processing.”
The 5900T has a 60-inch-wide infeed rotor designed to optimize material flow and reduce the need for pre-processing, says CBI.
CBI says the model’s 755-horsepower engine has been paired with a hydraulic clutch to deliver “smooth, powerful performance with precise control,” saying that makes it an appropriate choice for high-production environments.
The equipment maker, which is a brand of New Jersey-based Terex Corp., says the 5900T has been designed with mobility and transport efficiency in mind, having an 8-foot, 6-inch legal transport width and a redesigned dolly system intended to provide “seamless movement” between job sites.
On the maintenance, CBI says its new grinder features quick air filter removal and convenient engine access, “minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.”
What CBI refers to as a key enhancement of the 5900T is an updated discharge system engineered with multiple wear plates and a material-ejecting pulley the firm boosts the grinder’s durability and overall performance.
An integrated metal detection system provides what CBI calls essential protection from tramp metal to safeguard vital components.
“The 5900T represents CBI’s commitment to continuous innovation in the grinding industry,” says George Wilcox, sales and marketing director at CBI. “By integrating the most effective elements of our flagship models and introducing new features, we’ve created a machine that delivers power, efficiency and reliability.”
