Casella Waste Systems Inc., a regional vertically integrated solid waste, recycling and resource management services company based in Rutland, Vermont, has announced that it acquired Willimantic Waste Paper Co. Inc., Willimantic, Connecticut.
Willimantic Waste Paper Co. provides residential, commercial and roll-off collection services in eastern Connecticut and serves more than 30,000 customers. The company also operates a rail-served construction and demolition processing and waste transfer facility, a waste transfer station, a single-stream recycling facility and several other recycling operations.
According to a news release from Casella, the company expects to generate about $62 million of annualized revenues from the Willimantic acquisition.

This marks Casella’s fifth acquisition of the year. Casella says the company has acquired $67 million of annualized revenues year to date this year.
