The North Carolina-based SMH Group, which distributes Atlas and Mantsinen material handling equipment in the United States, has announced a new dealership alliance with Komatsu Company Stores East.
“This strategic collaboration aims to enhance the availability and support of high-quality material handling equipment across the United States East Coast,” states SMH Group.
Komatsu Company Stores East operates 11 dealer locations in five states: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. SMH refers to the dealership operator as “known for its extensive inventory and exceptional service support.”
“We are excited to add such a major dealer to the network,” says Tim Hyland, vice president of the SMH Group. “This partnership expands our reach and better serves customers across various industries.”
Remarks Mike Kubas, president of Komatsu Company Stores East, “We are pleased to partner with the SMH Group and offer Atlas and Mantsinen material handlers to our customers. This extensive product line is known for its reliability and performance in demanding applications, and we believe it will be an excellent solution for many of our customers.”
The SMH Group says it now has a network of eight dealers in 21 states that offer equipment from the Atlas and Mantsinen product lines for recycling, scrap metal, demolition, waste management, logging, port cargo handling and several other applications.
Atlas material handlers range in size from the 44,000-pound Atlas 200 MH to the 125,000-pound 520 MH, according to SMH Group, which says the German-engineered machines “are known worldwide for their fast cycle times, optimized handling and extended life span.”
SMH says the Finnish-made Mantsinen material handler line ranges from the 160,000-pound Mantsinen 60 to the Mantsinen 300, which the distributor calls “one of the largest machines of its kind in the world, tipping the scales at over 900,000 pounds and with a reach over 130 feet.”
