ASAP Marketplace launches the Dumpster Debris Calculator

ASAP Marketplace, a Columbia, Maryland-based temporary site services platform, has launched the Dumpster Debris Calculator, a free and customizable WordPress plugin aimed at haulers and roll-off dumpster services providers.

The calculator estimates the total tonnage of debris generated by a construction or demolition project and suggests a dumpster rental that would be appropriate for the job. Haulers can integrate the tool into their websites and customize the calculator to fit their branding, while customers can input specific information about a construction or demolition project to receive a dumpster recommendation.

“[It] helps the customer not only order the right dumpster, but it also helps them budget the job appropriately because then they have an estimate for how much waste they’re going to need to dispose of,” ASAP Marketplace CEO Sean Mahon says.

The calculator’s initial suite of debris estimation tools covers roofing, driveway resurfacing, concrete and brick removal, drywall and complete structure demolition. However, haulers looking to add the tool to their website can change the calculator’s maximum load capacity and applicable wording, as well as the colors and images.

“I can swap out the logo, … I can change the company name,” Mahon says. “All of the verbiage is totally customizable as well.”

Customers can select the relevant calculator and input project details to receive insights into their project’s total debris volume and weight.

The Dumpster Debris Calculator officially launched in January and currently has 375 downloads, Mahon says. The calculator is accessible to haulers and roll-off dumpster services providers as a free WordPress plugin, searchable and downloadable within WordPress.

ASAP Marketplace says its goal is to make it easier for customers to find the right hauler for their needs, while giving haulers tools to improve their digital presence and boost conversions.

“We are a marketplace, so we want to be a service to haulers,” Mahon says. “We’re trying to build these tools and make them available to not only ourselves, but to the haulers to establish authority and [a] reputation in the industry.”

Founded in 2018, ASAP Marketplace is an ecommerce marketplace for construction site services. The Dumpster Debris Calculator is the company’s first downloadable plugin, and Mahon says ASAP Marketplace also is developing a portable toilet calculator for construction sites.
