Amwaste, a West Point, Georgia-based waste and recycling company, has announced the acquisition of Waste Away Environmental LLC, a Milledgeville, Georgia-based company that provides residential, commercial and industrial waste collection services to the growing communities of Milledgeville and Dublin, Georgia, and surrounding counties.
The acquisition also includes two municipal solid waste (MSW) transfer stations as well as a highly automated material recovery facility (MRF).

The acquisition is Amwaste’s fifth acquisition since 2023, further expanding the company’s geographical presence and services offered in the rapidly growing Georgia market.
