Oxnard, California-based Agromin, a recycled-content soil products producer, has launched an online retail store so households and small business owners can order its compost, mulch and soil amendment products online.
Orders placed can be picked up at Agromin’s Oxnard location or delivered within a 60-mile radius of Oxnard. Oxnard is about 60 miles west of downtown Los Angeles.
The online store is available to anyone who needs large quantities of compost, mulch and other soil products. Each product page on the company website contains a calculator to help determine how much product is needed based on the size of a project.
“Product quantities are calculated in cubic yards,” says Cody Cain, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Agromin. “Once you determine the amount you need, click the cart icon button and complete the purchase.”
The 60-mile delivery area includes all of Ventura County, in which Oxnard is located, and parts of Santa Barbara and Los Angeles counties, with delivery fees varying depending on distance from Oxnard.
Agromin, which says it handles more than 1 million tons of organic material annually, has other facilities in California and says it expects to soon offer online ordering from its other California locations.
