July 31, we completed the acquisition of MSW Management magazine. We will integrate the MSW brand into Waste Today going forward and are proud to be its new stewards.
I have great respect for the work of Dan Waldman, MSW’s founder and publisher, and John Trotti, its long-time editorial director, and their coverage of the solid waste industry, especially the publication’s focus on the technical aspects of landfill development and management.
We intend to honor that history and look forward to continuing to grow and enhance our coverage of the environmental services industry, extending our deep coverage of postcollection waste management and disposal.
The waste management and environmental services industry is an essential sector that provides critical services to our modern world. This multibillion-dollar marketplace provides a wide range of exceptional jobs for white- and blue-collar workers and protects and safeguards both our society and the planet for future generations.
“These new and ongoing initiatives extend our market commitment, honor the industry’s history and recognize the critical role disposal plays.”
In the year ahead, Waste Today will honor the MSW brand while meeting current market needs with the introduction of a dedicated e-newsletter for the landfill sector. We also will continue publishing the MSW Management landfill supplement.
These new and ongoing initiatives extend our market commitment, honor the industry’s history and recognize the critical role disposal plays. As an industry, we provide important services to minimize disposal, recycle and harvest the value from end-of-life materials. Nonetheless, disposal remains an important component to sound and environmentally responsible solid waste management. We look forward to these important additions to our coverage and to continuing to serve the broad-based informational and business needs of industry stakeholders.
Of course, Waste Today will continue covering collection, technology, legislation and regulations, industry news and other important waste management and environmental services industry topics.
If you’d like to see more coverage of specific topics, please let me know. We look forward to continuing to serve the industry.
