Waste Pro, a solid waste and recycling service provider based in Longwood, Florida, has been recognized as the 95th largest private company in Florida by Florida Trend, a magazine which covers businesses in the state. Waste Pro is the only waste and recycling company to rank on the list.
Waste Pro operates in nine states in the southeastern United States, including 61 out of 67 counties in Florida. Overall, Waste Pro serves more than two million customers and has more than 3,200 employees and 2,400 collection trucks.
Because Waste Pro is privately owned, the company says it has a unique ability to strategically expand operations and sustain consistent financial growth, allowing it to compete with other waste and recycling collection companies in the United States.
John Jennings, president and CEO of Waste Pro, founded the company in 2001, and has since built it into one of the fastest-growing private companies nationwide.
“Waste Pro continues to see success because our crews go above and beyond, building lasting relationships with the customers they serve every day,” Jennings said. “It’s key for Waste Pro to recognize those employees and invest in the communities we serve.” Last year, Orlando Business Journal named Waste Pro the fourth largest privately-owned company in Central Florida.
