Stella Environmental Holdings Inc. (Stella), a Hidden Harbor Capital Partners portfolio company that provides transfer station management and municipal waste logistics services, announced on Jan. 19 that it has purchased Central Missouri Transfer LLC (CMT). According to Houston-based Stella, the deal allows the company to continue to expand its geographic footprint; diversify its customer base; and strengthen its existing facility management, hauling and loading capabilities.
Headquartered in Saint James, Missouri, CMT is a provider of transfer station management services throughout Missouri and Arkansas. According to Stella, CMT will provide density to its existing network in the area.
“This acquisition strengthens our position in the transfer station management industry by expanding our reach and deepening our capabilities throughout the Midwest. CMT is an ideal fit with Stella given its strong customer relationships and focus on top-notch service,” Stella CEO Heath Eddleblute says.
“The CMT team is very excited to join market leader Stella,” CMT founder Scott Gahr says. “Joining a larger platform will allow us to pursue additional growth opportunities and gain operational efficiencies in the market.”
Stella was formed as a standalone company after the acquisition by Boca Raton, Florida-based Hidden Harbor Capital Partners from Action Resources, North Birmingham, Alabama, in August 2017. Stella’s acquisition of CMT closed on Dec. 31, 2020.
