United Kingdom-based Terex Recycling Systems designed the TTS-620SE electric trommel screen for screening compost and organics, though it also can be used for biomass, soil, gravel and waste applications. According to the company, the compact, self-contained trommel screen provides waste processing operators versatility, productivity and serviceability. Its other features include:
- an 18-foot-by-6.6-foot screening drum
- a modular design for use as a standalone unit or integration into a new or preexisting recycling plant
- a fully electric efficient drive system
- intuitive control panel with an optional intelligent feed system

Volvo CE EC37, ECR40 compact excavators
Two new compact excavators supplied by Shippensburg, Pennsylvania-based Volvo Construction Equipment fall in the popular 3-to-4-ton class size. While the excavators share the same platform and components, including a Volvo D1.7A engine, the EC37 has a conventional upper carriage design and the ECR40 has a short swing radius to allow for work in more confined spaces. Their features include:
- 1.6 to 2.9 mph travel speeds
- an 18.5-gallon fuel tank capacity
- an 8,344-pound operating weight for the EC37 and an 8,785-pound operating weight for the ECR40
- a 0.149-cubic yard bucket capacity for the EC37 and a 0.193-cubic yard bucket capacity for the ECR40
