Sniffer Robotics LLC SnifferDrone
Ann Arbor, Michigan-based Sniffer Robotics LLC has been granted permission from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its SnifferDrone to conduct prescreening landfill gas surface emissions monitoring. The SnifferDrone has the ability to:
- collect air samples within 10 centimeters of the ground, providing GPS coordinates of specific leak locations and high concentrations of methane with 90 percent accuracy
- estimate fugitive emissions and the associated lost revenue
- provide site imagery for cover integrity studies
- help sites reduce odor sources because while methane is odorless, leak sources also might emit odorous gases
- enable temporal analytics tracking gas migration on-site in conjunction with operational changes
