Bollegraaf “next generation” HBC-140 baler

Van Dyk Recycling Solutions, Stamford, Connecticut, has introduced the “next-generation” Bollegraaf HBC-140 baler, featuring:

  • a reduced rate of wire breakage and lower energy consumption
  • production of compact, heavy bales for maximized freight and handling efficiency
  • self-learning, electronic control channel pressure that adapts to the material being baled to increase bale weights by 10 to 20 percent compared with traditional channel pressure systems
  • “eco-design” motors equipped with a frequency drive control, providing electricity savings of up to 30 percent

Weima WLK 4 single-shaft shredder

Weima America, Fort Mill, South Carolina, has introduced the WLK 4 single-shaft shredder, featuring:

  • a V-Rotor to process hard plastic scrap up to the size of a bowling ball
  • larger models within the WLK series can be equipped with an F-Rotor, which is ideal for processing film and fiber applications
  • preshreds plastics to a consistent particle size for introduction to a granulator for further processing
  • knife/counter knife tolerance protection, adjustable counter knives, enclosed hydraulics, a powerful electric drive, changeable screens and a hydraulic ram

Metso EtaBriq briquetting press

Metso, San Antonio, has introduced the EtaBriq briquetting press to the North American market, enabling production of high-quality briquettes for cost-optimized disposal or sale. EtaBriq can:

  • be used in combination with the Metso EtaCrush turnings crusher
  • produce briquettes with a more uniform density than those produced with units that use single compression
