Valicor acquires Water Depot
Valicor Environmental Services, the Monroe, Ohio-based provider of nonhazardous wastewater treatment services, announced it has acquired Water Depot. According to Valicor, the acquisition expands its network of wastewater processing facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Water Depot operates a full-service centralized wastewater treatment (CWT) facility in Westminster, Maryland. Water Depot specializes in treating nonhazardous petroleum-contaminated water to both government and private sector clients along the East Coast.
“We are excited to add the Westminster facility to our expanding network of CWTs across the U.S.,” Valicor CCO Bill Hinton says. “Valicor continues to expand in both new and existing geographies in order to better serve its customers. Our new Westminster location will play a key role as we increase our service in the Mid-Atlantic, and we are thrilled to welcome the Water Depot team to the Valicor family.”
Valicor is owned by Chicago-based Pritzker Private Capital, which partnered with Valicor management in July 2019. According to the company, Valicor’s acquisition strategy focuses on acquiring operators of CWT facilities and other providers of waste management and environmental services, including materials recycling, used oil processing, product destruction, landfill solidification and related services.
Ryan Roberts, investment partner at Pritzker Private Capital, says, “We welcome Water Depot to the Valicor and Pritzker Private Capital families. With this acquisition, Valicor will expand their service area in the Mid-Atlantic. We enthusiastically support Bill and the entire Valicor team as they continue to build Valicor’s national network and service offering to better serve its customers nationwide.”
Meridian Waste acquires roll-off assets of Rapid Response Inc.
Meridian Waste Missouri LLC, the St. Louis-based subsidiary of Charlotte, North Carolina-based Meridian Waste, announced the asset acquisition of all roll-off trucks, containers and contracts from Wentzville, Missouri-based Rapid Response Inc. effective Sept. 1. The roll-off assets and associated CDL drivers will be relocated to Meridian Waste’s existing hauling and transfer station operations in Foristell, Missouri.
“Tuck-in acquisitions, such as this asset purchase from Rapid Response, [are] ideal for our St. Louis marketplace operations,” Bob Mathis, area president, Missouri, for Meridian, says. “The team of professional CDL drivers is a welcome addition to our Meridian team, and the additional customer base will not only grow our overall operations and revenue line, but it will also help densify our routing and increase profitability, resulting in improved margin enhancement. It’s a strategic win for Meridian Waste, the customers and Rapid Response, as that company will continue to focus on its continuing business of tractor trailer transportation and other delivery services.”
This asset purchase marks the 12th acquisition since Meridian transitioned to private stock under the ownership of Jacksonville Beach, Florida-based Warren Equity Partners (WEP) in April 2018.
