WCA acquires Sunshine Recycling Inc.
WCA Waste Corp., a vertically integrated, nonhazardous solid waste services company based in Houston, has announced its expansion in the state of Florida with the acquisition of the commercial and roll-off solid waste operations of Sunshine Recycling Inc.
The acquisition includes the purchase of two hauling operations. Located in Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida, Sunshine Recycling services approximately 2,000 customers and provides commercial, roll-off dumpster and disposal services to businesses in more than 16 counties.
WCA has locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico as well as in other markets.
“We are truly excited for this opportunity to grow in the Orlando and Jacksonville markets and to continue Sunshine’s legacy of providing a superior service to our customers,” Bob Shires, WCA regional vice president, says. “We will achieve this with the guidance of our Florida leadership team that has over 50 years combined industry experience.”
