Canadian Waste & Recycling Expo organizer, Messe Frankfurt, Atlanta, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of what it says is Canada’s only waste industry trade show. The event, at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario, features more than 3,000 attendees and 300 international exhibitors. Messe Frankfurt works with the Ontario Waste Management Association (OWMA), which also organizes the concurrent Canadian Waste to Resource Conference, on the event.
The OWMA’s Canadian Waste to Resource Conference hosts six different tracks of educational sessions throughout the two days. Tracks include resource recovery, organics diversion, green energy, innovations in waste management, operations and disposal and planning for the future.
Glen Murray, Ontario’s minister of environment and climate change, has been invited to open the show, providing the ministry’s views on climate change and the environment. Other conference speakers include representatives from Triple M Metals, Blue Ridge Services and Waste Treatment Technologies Netherlands BV.
