The Antonacci Family Foundation capped off a week of donations with $125,000 to the Connecticut Food Bank. In total, the foundation has donated more than $500,000 to feed people in need in the area.
The Antonacci family owns and operates several companies in western Massachusetts and Connecticut, including USA Waste & Recycling, Enfield, Connecticut, as well as GreatHorse, Lindy Farms and Sonny’s Place.
These donations are a part of the family’s larger effort through the foundation to help the communities where they, their employees and customers live and work. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Antonacci Family Foundation has hosted a virtual food drive, Million of Meals, to aid with food insecurity in partnership with WFSB Channel 3, The River 105.9, iHeartMedia Connecticut.
To share the most recent donation, Frank Antonacci presented a check to several lawmakers in the area, including Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz, Waterbury Mayor Neil O’Leary, Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and Torrington Mayor Elinor Carbone.
